Vladislav Cée was born on 29 August 1946 in the maternity hospital in Ostrava-Zábřeh. His father Ladislav Cée came from Železný Brod and worked in the police. In October 1949, his father was arrested by the communist State Security, imprisoned, interrogated and tortured. In a fabricated trial known as “Buchal and associates” he was sentenced to death and executed on August 1, 1951. Mother and children had to leave Ostrava, the authorities confiscated all his father’s property, and Vladislav Cée grew up in his father’s native Železný Brod. At primary school he experienced humiliation from teachers who called him “the son of a traitor to the nation”. Despite problems with admission to study, he graduated from glass school, majoring in chemistry. He got a job in the waterworks in Frýdek-Místek and moved to his native region. However, under pressure from State Security, he had to leave the waterworks and look for a new job. Vladislav Cée’s whole life was marked by the judicial murder of his father. In 2025 he was living in Paršovice, near Hranice in Moravia.
