A large photograph on the fence of the garden of the Konspira restaurant in Wrocław commemorates Karel Kryl playing in an ordinary Wrocław pub in November 1989. A chance witness to this unplanned performance of Karel Kryl was Stanislav Ninth, who had been hiding in Wroclaw since September 1989 from imprisonment. He listened to Karel Kryl over a beer in the corner of the pub, but because of his secrecy he was not allowed to show that he knew him.

Jolanta Piątek in Vienna in the 1980s at the Nachtasyl club, which was run by the Czech emigrant Jiří Chmel called Chmelák. The witness worked in the club for two months and met Czech emigrants (Pavel Landovský, Dáša Vokata, Jaroslav Hutka and Karel Kryl).
