Jana Glaserová, née Wladarsch, was born into a Czech-German family on 3 September 1938 in Fulnek. Her father, as a German, fought in the Wehrmacht and never returned from the war. She spent the end of the war with her aunt and uncle in Větřkovice, from where she watched the bombing of Fulnek, during which her family home was destroyed. After the liberation, she hid in the cellar from Soviet soldiers for about six weeks. After the war, most of the family on her father’s side was expelled from Czechoslovakia. She was not admitted to high school because of her Catholic faith. After completing her primary education in 1954, she went straight into the Romo Fulnek company, where she worked all her life. She married and had two children. In 2025 she lived in Fulnek.
