Viktorie Vorobets was born on 10 July 1968 in Uzghorod. Her grandmother from her mother’s side, Marie Vopičková, came to Uzghorod in 1945 with her husband, a mining engineer. Her grandmother taught Viktorie Czech songs and customs. The witness attended a ten-year comprehensive school and earned a degree in Ukrainian philology while already employed. She has been working at the Uzghorod Scientific Library since 1986, currently in the position of deputy director. She is a member of the Czech expatriate society in Uzghorod from 1995. She also teaches Czech and occasionally functions as a guide for Czech tourists in Carpathian Ruthenia. In 2016 she participated in an internship programme for teachers of Czech, which was organised by the Institute for Language and Profession Training of Charles University. Viktorie Vorobets is a widow, she has one daughter. She lives in Uzghorod.
