A few days before 21 August 1968, František Valenta (scout name Marbula) offered children in Frýdlant square the opportunity to join the newly founded Frýdlant Scout Centre, the interest was great

The first oath of the scouts, junaks and wolf Cubs of the Frýdlant Centre in Bohemia took place in the old quarry on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the Czechoslovakia on 27 October 1968, the oath was taken on the centre's flag (Pavel Knížák at the oath ceremony)

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia, the Frýdlant Scouts planted the "Linden of Freedom" in the town park on 28 October 1968, the witness is holding the Czechoslovak flag with his back (in the background there is still a monument to the fallen in World War I, mostly of German nationality, which was later moved to the cemetery)

On 28 October 1968, about 50 Frýdlant Scouts and Girl Scouts attended the ceremony of planting the "Linden of Freedom".

The first Boy Scout camp for boys from Frýdlant and Dětřichov took place in July 1969 in the woods near Bratříkov, about 6 km from Železný Brod.

The ecomeeting in Hrádek nad Nisou, which was attended by Frýdlant Scouts - and the participation was international (on the photo representatives of the Polish Green Party). Inhabitants of the Tri-Mediterranean region, polluted due to lignite mining and brown coal power plants, protested against environmental pollution, 13 May 1990
