Uncle Josef Šimek and his wife Elen's family. (During the liberation of Trnava by the Red Army there was a confusion of names, the uncle's family were considered to be members of the bourgeoisie - in Trnava there was another person with the surname Šimko - and they were to be arrested. Elen was shot in the leg while defending her family and bled to death before a doctor arrived.)
