Sedmnáctiletý Antonij v roce 1939 po zatčené sovětskou bezpečností službou. Ve Státním archivu Zakarpatské oblasti v Užhorodě se dochoval fond Kriminalnyje spravy (1939–1994) označovaný číslem 2558, jenž obsahuje přes pět a půl tisíce vyšetřovacích spisů týkajících se osob, které v letech 1939 – 1941 z území Podkarpatska překročily maďarsko-sovětskou hranici a byli zadrženi a vyšetřováni pohraničními oddíly NKVD.
