"For a long time, I thought that when there is light on the upper floors, it's bad," Jan Hammer points towards the building of the Police of the Czech Republic, where the District Administration of State Security in Havlíčkův Brod had its facilities in the 1980s.

"I had the constant feeling that someone was watching me. This is what happens to you when you have bipolar disorder. All the more so when their windows are right across from you," says Jan Hammer in his story. From the apartment, you can see the floors and windows of the Police of the Czech Republic building, where the District Administration of State Security in Havlíčkův Brod used to be located.
