  • The Wald family in full, taken before Eugen's departure to Palestine, Trebišov 5/1/1933.  From right: Bernard (1913-1942), Gizela (1906-1942), Eugen (1905-1984), Etela (1904-1973), Herman (19011-1994), Dorota (1917-2012), Adela (1920-1997).
Bernard, Gizela and their father - Emanuel, were deported during World War II. All three perished in a concentration camp, on the territory of Poland (1942). Eugen, Etela, Herman, Dorota (Pavol's mother) and Adela emigrated to Israel.
