On the day of the first anniversary of freedom on November 17, 1990, the Civic Forum decided to plant a linden tree of liberty behind the statue of St. Wenceslas

November 17, 1990. The linden tree was planted by Čepl Václav, Bukovský Vladimír and Fiala Miloš. It was still clear that the Communists were not sleeping, and soon after the linden tree was broken one morning.
