Vladimír Doležal was born in 1962. His father signed Charter 77 in 1983. This was followed monitoring, surveillance, and investigation of both the father and his son. Vladimír worked in a printing works. In 1989 he signed the petition A Few Sentences which was aimed against the communist regime, and as a result he was fired shortly before the Velvet Revolution.
