The following text is not a historical study. It is a retelling of the witness’s life story based on the memories recorded in the interview. The story was processed by external collaborators of the Memory of Nations. In some cases, the short biography draws on documents made available by the Security Forces Archives, State District Archives, National Archives, or other institutions. These are used merely to complement the witness’s testimony. The referenced pages of such files are saved in the Documents section.

Vlasta Rypáčková, roz. Košvancová (* 1931)

• narozena roku 1931 v Nových Kopistech

• otec Karel Košvanec zásoboval terezínské Židy potravinami po celou dobu existence ghetta

• do pomoci Židům se zapojila matka i Vlasta

• ke konci války doma skrývali jugoslávského důstojníka

• otec zemřel roku 1950, rodina se odstěhovala do Liberce

• roku 1957 rodina včetně Vlasty zatčena a odsouzena za obohacování poté, co prodali v klenotnictví cennosti

• matka odsouzena, vězněna dva a půl roku, Vlasta ve vazbě tři týdny, vyvázla s podmínkou

• roku 1994 městský soud v Praze veškerá obvinění z roku 1957 zrušil
