The following text is not a historical study. It is a retelling of the witness’s life story based on the memories recorded in the interview. The story was processed by external collaborators of the Memory of Nations. In some cases, the short biography draws on documents made available by the Security Forces Archives, State District Archives, National Archives, or other institutions. These are used merely to complement the witness’s testimony. The referenced pages of such files are saved in the Documents section.

Řekl jsem, co si myslím, a věděl jsem předem, že mi to zláme vaz

  • narozen v roce 1923 v Poličce

  • poslední účastník studentského odboje za druhé světové války v Poličce

  • 28. června 1942 zatčen gestapem

  • vězněn v Malé pevnosti v Terezíně, Drážďanech - Anstalt I, Anstalt II, v Litoměřicích, v Griebu a v Dessau

  • 7. března 1945 - spojenecký nálet na Dessau

  • po válce učitel a ředitel na několika školách

  • v roce 1970 vyhozen z místa ředitele za projev odsuzující vpád vojsk Varšavské smlouvy

  • několik let pracoval jako klinický psycholog v Kroměříži

  • v současnosti žije v Bystrém u Poličky

  • zemřel 19. ledna 2019
