The following text is not a historical study. It is a retelling of the witness’s life story based on the memories recorded in the interview. The story was processed by external collaborators of the Memory of Nations. In some cases, the short biography draws on documents made available by the Security Forces Archives, State District Archives, National Archives, or other institutions. These are used merely to complement the witness’s testimony. The referenced pages of such files are saved in the Documents section.

Helena - Richardis Nováková (* 1928)

• narozena 3. 12. 1928 v Rozseči u Nové Říše

• otec byl učitel

• do školy nastoupila v Malém Pěčíně u Dačic

• navštěvovala český spolek Orel

• absolvovala reálné gymnázium Otakara Březiny v Telči

• po válce odešla do kláštera, kde nejprve učila tělesnou výchovu v klášterní škole

• v roce 1947 začala studovat na pedagogické fakultě

• v roce 1949 dostala řeholní šat a jméno – sestra Richardis

• klášter Boromejek na Malé Straně vedla matka Bohumila Langerová, která byla koncem prosince 1951 zatčena spolu s otcem Zvěřinou

• v březnu 1952 byla matka Bohumila odsouzena v Brně

• pomáhala v nemocnici v Táboře

• pracovala v továrně u Trutnova, závod Libeč

• v roce 1968 byla ve Štemberku, v Olomouci kurs pro katechety

• Moravské Budějovice, Znojmo

• dnes žije v Praze
