The following text is not a historical study. It is a retelling of the witness’s life story based on the memories recorded in the interview. The story was processed by external collaborators of the Memory of Nations. In some cases, the short biography draws on documents made available by the Security Forces Archives, State District Archives, National Archives, or other institutions. These are used merely to complement the witness’s testimony. The referenced pages of such files are saved in the Documents section.

Oldřich Jedlička (* 1922)

Dvakrát jsem měl být popraven, a stále jsem tady

  • narozen 10. února 1922 v Bořeticích na Břeclavsku

  • v roce 1942 totálně nasazen v BMW ve Frankfurtu nad Mohanem

  • zatčen za sabotáž a uvězněn v koncentračním táboře Flossenbürg

  • v roce 1943 přemístěn do koncentračního tábora Dachau

  • v dubnu 1945 pochod smrti, útěk

  • v roce 1946 sňatek s dcerou příslušníka západního odboje Petra Křivky

  • účast na protikomunistické ilegální činnosti

  • v roce 1951 byl zatčen a odsouzen na 20 let, tchán byl popraven

  • strávil 20 let v uranových dolech

  • v roce 1974 mu byl přiznán status politického vězně nacistů

  • po roce 1989 byl plně rehabilitován
