The following text is not a historical study. It is a retelling of the witness’s life story based on the memories recorded in the interview. The story was processed by external collaborators of the Memory of Nations. In some cases, the short biography draws on documents made available by the Security Forces Archives, State District Archives, National Archives, or other institutions. These are used merely to complement the witness’s testimony. The referenced pages of such files are saved in the Documents section.

Ludvík Florián (* 1936)

• narozen 10. listopadu 1936 v Brně

• aktivní člen odbojové skupiny SODAN

• v roce 1953 zatčen, vyslýchán v Brně v Příční ulici

• v roce 1954 odsouzen jako mladistvý ke čtyřem a půl rokům vězení

• část trestu strávil ve vězeňské nemocnici, poté co ve vyšetřovací vazbě upadl po protestní hladovce do bezvědomí

• rok strávil v pracovním táboře Mariánská a nejdéle byl v táboře Rovnost I u Jáchymova

• vojnu odsloužil v Brně

• jako politicky nespolehlivý si nesměl po propuštění dokončit školu

• pracoval na výkopech, v dolech a uhelných skladech

• vychoval jedenáct dětí, šest vlastních a pět nevlastních
