The following text is not a historical study. It is a retelling of the witness’s life story based on the memories recorded in the interview. The story was processed by external collaborators of the Memory of Nations. In some cases, the short biography draws on documents made available by the Security Forces Archives, State District Archives, National Archives, or other institutions. These are used merely to complement the witness’s testimony. The referenced pages of such files are saved in the Documents section.

Karel Drozda (* 1938)

• narozen 10. března 1938 ve Skalce u Pivína

• po únoru 1948 otec nadále soukromě hospodařil, oba rodiče vstoupili do JZD až v roce 1958

• od roku 1958 dálkově studoval střední zemědělskou školu v Prostějově a pracoval v JZD Skalka

• v druhé polovině 60. let vystřídal různá zemědělská družstva na Prostějovsku, po celou dobu své kariéry odmítal vstoupit do KSČ

• v době pražského jara se v roce 1969 nakrátko stal předsedou družstva

• po roce 1989 se podílel na transformaci sloučeného JZD Klenovice v nezávislý Agropodnik
