The following text is not a historical study. It is a retelling of the witness’s life story based on the memories recorded in the interview. The story was processed by external collaborators of the Memory of Nations. In some cases, the short biography draws on documents made available by the Security Forces Archives, State District Archives, National Archives, or other institutions. These are used merely to complement the witness’s testimony. The referenced pages of such files are saved in the Documents section.

Jaroslav Antoš (* 1930)

• narozen 1. prosince 1930 v obci Zbehňov na Slovensku

• v roce 1950 neúspěšně zažádal o vystěhování do Kanady, a proto se přestěhoval do západního pohraničí a vstoupil do služeb americké rozvědky

• pod vedením Karla Voborského zorganizoval v Praze skupinu zpravodajců, za což měl být bezplatně převeden přes hranice

• 15. března 1954 zatčen StB v Častolovicích u Rychnova nad Kněžnou

• 25. května 1954 odsouzen k sedmi letům vězení za špionáž

• 4 roky v uranových táborech Svatopluk a Bytíz

• v roce 1958 podmínečně propuštěn
