The following text is not a historical study. It is a retelling of the witness’s life story based on the memories recorded in the interview. The story was processed by external collaborators of the Memory of Nations. In some cases, the short biography draws on documents made available by the Security Forces Archives, State District Archives, National Archives, or other institutions. These are used merely to complement the witness’s testimony. The referenced pages of such files are saved in the Documents section.

Mgr. Evžen Adámek (* 1960)

• narozený 27. února 1960 v Brně

• syn Josefa Adámka, katolického aktivisty a disidenta

• pomáhal otci s tiskem samizdatové náboženské literatury

• vyučený a zaměstnaný jako automechanik

• během základní vojenské služby odsouzený k podmíněnému trestu odnětí svobody

• sledovaný a vyslýchaný Státní bezpečností

• tajně promítal náboženské filmy

• přepravoval knihy vydané v zahraničí a samizdatové tiskoviny vydané v Československu

• účastnil se aktivit na podporu nespravedlivě stíhaných lidí

• s manželkou a dětmi se na konci 80. let přestěhoval do Horního Břečkova

• od roku 1993 je ředitelem Oblastní charity Znojmo
