The following text is not a historical study. It is a retelling of the witness’s life story based on the memories recorded in the interview. The story was processed by external collaborators of the Memory of Nations. In some cases, the short biography draws on documents made available by the Security Forces Archives, State District Archives, National Archives, or other institutions. These are used merely to complement the witness’s testimony. The referenced pages of such files are saved in the Documents section.

Jefstavij Oleksijovyč Adamčuk (* 1937)

Bloudili jsme v Mlynivském okrese a neměli jsme co jíst

  • narodil se 8. ledna 1937 v obci Wólka Kraśniczyńska v Lublinské oblasti v tehdejším meziválečném Polsku

  • je ukrajinské národnosti

  • v letech 1939–1944 v rodné obci prožil nacistickou okupaci Polska

  • v roce 1945 v rámci etnické výměny obyvatel mezi Polskem a Ukrajinou přesídlil s rodinou do Chersonské oblasti

  • v roce 1948 odjel na západní Ukrajinu a usadil se v obci Moskovščina v Rivnenské oblasti

  • sloužil v sovětské armádě na Čukotce

  • pracoval v hasičské zbrojnici ve městě Dubno
