  • Born on December 31, 1927, in Prague into a large family
  • Since the 1930s they lived in Zbuzany (then Třebonice)
  • In 1939 and 1940 he lived in the monastery boarding school in Svatá Hora near Příbram.
  • Studied at the private grammar school with Redemptorist Order in Libějovice
  • During the Heydrich terror he had to interrupt his studies and trained in a clothes store in Prague
  • In spring 1945 he was sent to dig trenches in Poland
  • After the war he continued in the grammar school in Libějovice and prepared for a life in monastery
  • He lived in the Redemptorist convent in České Budějovice
  • On April 13, he became a victim of the destruction of male monasteries, was interned in Králíky
  • In autumn 1950 he went to serve for 40 months with the PTP army unit in Komárno, the so-called Parson Platoon
  • He was prevented from completing his secondary studies due to political reasons and could not study theology
  • In 1957 he was sentenced in the case of the Catholic activist Zdeněk Cikler to 3 years in prison
  • He served in Jáchymov mines, his wife Zdena in the labour camp in Želiezovce
  • He and his wife were active in Catholic cirlces, they were under surveillance of the Secret Police
  • He worked as a labourer in ČKD, also as a driver of a measuring vehicle at the department of geophysics
  • Since 1987 he worked as an assistant of the Prague bishop Antonín Liška
  • In 1989 he co-organised trips to Rome for beatification of Anežka of Bohemia
  • After the revolution in 1989 he served in the bishopric in the heritage department.
  • He received an award from cardinal Dominik Duka
